Projects Involving Contractors for Construction, Reconstruction, Demolition, Alteration, Repair and/or Maintenance Work

The following instructions are in accordance with a memo issued by the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor on August 20, 2014.       

“All projects involving outside contractors for the purpose of construction, reconstruction, demolition, alteration, repair work and maintenance work affecting University facilities should be referred to Facilities Management and/or the Office of General Counsel for review of contractual and legal requirements imposed on State-related institutions by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which may be applicable.  Failure to abide by applicable requirements can result in significant penalties being imposed on the University for failure to comply.” View more…

PantherExpress-Purchasing Services does not handle contracts for projects with contractors involving construction, reconstruction, demolition, alteration, repair and/or maintenance work to University facilities.  Refer these types of projects to the Contracts Administrator, Tawanda Stamps, in Facilities Management at 412-624-9514 or tmss58@pitt.edu.
