SUPRA Office Solutions Updates & Price Increase
SUPRA Office Solutions, the University-wide contracted supplier for office supplies, is sharing several updates. These include 2019 price increases on certain products and an update about fleet drivers.
2019 Price Increases
University customers will see price increases on some paper, ink, and toner starting January 2, 2019. The paper market has been very volatile and experience significant price increases due to tariffs, rising costs of trucking and operating rates, and paper machine closures. While the University works hard to limit the impact of these market disruptions through contracts and leveraged pricing, SUPRA is contractually permitted to increase prices on these products in 2019.
University customers should be aware and anticipate these price increases. You may also wish to pre-purchase or restock before the winter recess.
Delivery Fleet Changes
SUPRA Office Solutions products are distributed in partnership with Office Depot. Previously Office Depot used a 3rd party service for delivery drivers but has recently moved to an in-house, private fleet. Office Depot hired and retained the other service’s drivers and the transition to the Office Depot in-house fleet should be seamless.
SUPRA is also excited to share that customers on campus will be able to expect better order tracking capabilities. Starting December 1, 2018, Office Depot deliveries will capture signatures electronically at the time of delivery, resulting in quicker updates to campus delivery and tracking.
