UNIVERSITY 2011 WINTER RECESS REMINDER December 23, 2011 through January 2, 2012
Please consider the following when placing orders before the Winter Recess:
- When placing an order with a requested delivery during the University Winter Recess, please remember that University buildings’ receiving dock schedules may affect package and equipment deliveries.
- Obtain a delivery date from your supplier. If that date is to occur during the University Winter Recess, make arrangements with the supplier for a pre-determined receiving point and provide the supplier with a phone number to contact you.
- Requisitions for orders that need to be placed by Purchasing Services must be submitted to Purchasing Services with the appropriate supporting documentation no later than Thursday, December 8, 2011 to assure that your order is placed before the Winter Recess.
- In case an emergency arises during the Winter Recess you may call 412-624-3578 or complete a web inquiry at www.cfo.pitt.edu/purchasing/inquiries.html. Telephone calls and web inquiries will be answered December 26 through December 30, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
