Apple's Return Policy

The University of Pittsburgh’s PantherExpress Customer Service Department has received several questions over the last few weeks regarding Apple’s return policy.  We want to take this opportunity to define and explain the policy as it pertains to departmental purchases. 

As indicated in The Applicable Terms located at the bottom of each page of the Apple punchout on the PantherExpress System, Apple will not accept returns on any departmental orders unless Apple has shipped the wrong product or the product has been damaged in shipment.  Apple maintains that if it were to relax its returns policy for departmental purchases (for Pitt or any university), the costs associated with those returns would force Apple to eliminate its educational discount.

Please make sure you are ordering the correct Apple item before approving and submitting your purchase order.
